Small, girly tattoo on my hip?

I'm getting a tattoo on my hip on saturday but I'm still undecided on what to get. I was going to have 3 shooting stars but everyone seems to have stars somewhere on their body.
I only want a small one, has anyone got any good ideas? Not like 'hearts, flowers..' and ideas like that, more detailed or even pictures would be good.

  7. Tattoos should be about something that means something to you personally, not just getting a tattoo to get one. So sit down and think about what has meaning to you, and go from there.

    A bunch of strangers on the internet is not the place to go for this. However, your own friends and family may be able to help you with ideas that are significant to you, as they know you.

  8. well, I think you should get one dats like a little hello kitty or maybe a halloween cartoon cat head..or a skull with a pink bow on its head on a background of a pink and black zebra print heart..

  9. Well it all depends on what you like. And that, no one can help you decide on.

    You could get your astro sign, a yin yang, a Chinese/Japanese symbol of something you believe in, or anything like that. You can go to the tattoo shop that you plan to get it at, or a different if you choose, and talk to an artist there about what you like, and what you might want. While waiting to talk to someone, if you have to, you can take a look at the portfolios around, as I am sure they will have some, and look at what they have done in the past. While it is not recommended that you get something exactly like someone else has, but you can take a few of them, and combine them to get something that you really truly like.

  12. If you haven;t chosen one then I suggest you put it on hold until you have. Really small ones look naff if they have lots of clours or too much detail. maybe go for a small lizard or a dolphin.

  13. My friend just recently got one on her hip of two dolphins with water making a design around them. It's small and pretty. If I were to get one on my hip it would probably be a tribal design. If you want the stars, try coming up with a different approach to them, something that no one else has. Good Luck!

  14. i know someone who has a line of a song written in musical notes on her ankle. it's a song that means something to her…i know it's not a picture but i thought it was cool. another one has a fairy. another one has a weird heart with a sword through it. another one has a weird obscure looking eye. another one has a celtic design thingy.

    i don't do music so i'm sorry for the not so eloquent phrasing!

    If your getting it on saturday and only deciding now how will ya know your gonna be happy with it for the rest of your life! id say think about it more and wait!

  17. Don't get a tattoo they are not cool anymore. I see all these girls following each other getting the tattoo on the hip. They used to get the tramp stamp on the lower back now there getting the hip dip. I say just keep your skin clean tattoos are so stupid its just drawing on yourself and having to keep it and see it everyday, it gets old after a while
